Description

We start the day when we embark on a marine safari in Algoa Bay, searching for Whales, Sharks, Penguins, Seals and Dolphins. After about 3 to 3.5 hours on the water we return for a light lunch at a local restaurant.

After lunch we board the Land Cruiser or similar vehicle for the short drive to the Addo Elephant National Park for an afternoon searching the plains and thickets for the traditional members of the BIG 5. Here we find Buffalo, Lion, Black Rhino with the shy Leopard and of course the nearly 700 free roaming African Elephants but it isn't just about the Big 5. There are many other species to be found to entertain and educate you into the ways of the wild, keeping you fascinated for the day. Animals such as the unique Zebra, the massive Eland which can be found in large herds, the elegant Kudu, the most common of the antelope, the bulls with their magnificent spiralled horns. Warthog abound, as does a rich and diverse birdlife with many reptiles to be seen in the warmer weather.

There are a number of Big 7 Safari options available, where you can choose to overnight for 1, 2 or 3 nights or more in the Park in a variety of different habitats and accommodation options. This enables us to take advantage of the stunning scenery and exciting game viewing in the BIG 5 area or travel to the remote Woody Cape dune fields and coastal forests or cross the rugged Zuurberg Mountains on a challenging 4 x 4 route; A true Eastern Cape wilderness experience!
